Story
I completed my challenge of swimming 60 lengths 1.5k in 34mins and 56 sec. Thank you so much to everyone that has sponsored and supported me, I am very grateful.
My name is Humza Haroon, I am taking part in the 1.5K individual swimathon challenge and I train with Woking Swimfitters. I am 12 years old and attend Park School in Woking. I have a diagnosis of Autism & Cruzons disease which means I have learning difficulties, have had a lot of surgery, have on going complex health problems and have spent a lot of time at Great Ormond Street and have been cared for by great staff.
I love swimming and if I say so myself am very good!! As a way of helping other people I am taking part in the Swimathon for Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie and will be aiming to do 60 laps. It would be fantastic if you could sponsor me whatever amount you can, every penny helps. You guys are great!!
On your marks.... Swimathon is back in 2018!
Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie are teaming up and heading down to the pool for Swimathon 2018 – thousands of swimmers, two great causes, one big charity challenge.
Cancer Research UK, the world’s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research, will be involved in Swimathon for the first time.
Marie Curie, the UK’s leading charity for people with any terminal illness and their families, has been Swimathon's charity partner ten times since it launched in 1986 and has raised over £17 million for the charity through the event during that time.
By taking part in the world’s biggest fundraising swimming event you will be fundraising for two incredible causes.
A challenge for everyone. A #SwimForAll
