Hugo's London Marathon

London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·
On the 3rd of October, I'll be running the London Marathon for the British Tinnitus Association (BTA). I'll also be aiming to rectify my poor performance in the 2018 Athens marathon. Where my then 50-year-old Mother out ran me. So, there are two good causes here!
Tinnitus is a very distressing condition that is extremely difficult to live with. It takes the form of ringing and buzzing noises in the head and/or ears, despite no external source. In some cases, the symptoms may ease or disappear, but for many people it never does. It can be a debilitating condition, which at the minimum affects concentration and the ability to sleep. There is a 1 in 3 chance you'll experience tinnitus in your lifetime, and my father has suffered 24/7 from the condition for over 20 years.
The British Tinnitus Association (BTA) is the only national charity specialising in tinnitus support and research. Their vision is a world where no one suffers from tinnitus. They receive no direct funding from the government. So, they are 100% reliant on the generosity of members of the public and grant-making organisations to support people with tinnitus across the UK. Please support the BTA, so they can continue to fund vital tinnitus research and support those who need it right now.
Thank you for your donations - they'll make a huge difference! Hugo
