Thames Bridges Trek 2022 · 10 September 2022 ·

Essenta Partners are supporting Borne by taking on the Thames Bridges Trek on 10th September 2022.

Story

I am taking on the 25km Thames Bridges Trek alongside a large cohort of my colleagues at Essenta Partners in aid of Borne - our chosen charity for 2022.  Given my lack of athletic prowess, and complete absence of calf muscles, this is going to be quite some undertaking but I couldn't be prouder of the cause that the team are representing.

Borne is a medical research charity that funds research into premature birth, the leading cause of infant mortality in children under the age of 5 around the world today.

I'm supporting Borne because every child should have the chance of a full and healthy life, unaffected by disability.  It is a cause extremely close to my heart, as although Laura and I were lucky that both Henry and Olly went full term, we know plenty of people who weren't so fortunate and the consequences can be life-changing.  A close family member was a volunteer when pregnant for some of the pioneering research that Borne undertake, and is adamant that it will help pave the way for better outcomes for all in the years to come.

Your donation will help Borne in their mission of ending premature birth everywhere and forever.  Please get on board and donate whatever amount you can.

Thanks in advance,

Hugo
