I will be attempting a solo swim of the English Channel in order to raise both awareness and money for the Yellow Wellies - Farm Safety Foundation 'Mind Your Head' Campaign. The 'Mind Your Head' campaign focusses its effort on reaching out to people working in the Agricultural Sector who might need help with their mental health. Recent research understands that 4 out of 5 young farmers believe mental health is one of the biggest problem's facing them today. Although many farmers are renowned for the quality and care they give to their crops and livestock, it has become apparent they can sometimes forget about their own. 

For those of you who don't know, I was bought up on a Farm and attended the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester, Gloucestershire. It is from this rural community of family and friends that I have unfortunately heard of an increasing amount of issues in this area, some of which have been very close to me and my family.

It is my hope to use this challenge to try to make a difference and help the Farm Safety Foundation in raising awareness for this cause. I hope to be involved in many events throughout the year, so please do keep in touch for further details.

In preparation you will see from some of my images that I have already participated in a Channel Relay swim, where the 'Red Top Rocket's' crossed the channel in 10hrs 30 mins. This has given me just a taste of what is to come, and training is very much underway! 

The swim date has not yet been confirmed, exactly - but will most likely be in August 2022.
