Story

Thank you so much for visiting my just giving page. I'm running my first ever half marathon for Cancer Research UK:  I lost my father to a stomach cancer when i was 18 and my Grandfather to prostate cancer.  Neither of my two sons had their birthright of meeting their grandfather and seeing what a wonderful person he was!  My father would had loved to see, play with, and have in his arms all of his three grandchildren; Lucas , Jake and Tobias. Everyday I see more and more people: families affected by this horrible disease.  Just recently a few of my work colleagues have been diagnosed with cancer, all of them completely unexpected; devastating for their families and friends.
I wish to raise funds for Cancer Research UK to pay tribute to my father and everybody affected by this horrible disease.  Both the fundraising and the half marathon are personal goals that I want to achieve, and I believe that my father would be proud of me.
Joining me will be my Karate buddies Ian Lane and Jason Martindale.
Please donate as little or as much as you can to support this worthy charity; it is such a good cause . I really appreciate everyone's support and I hope to see as many of your faces as possible at the  Perkins Great Easter Run 2019.  Thank you so much, Hugo.
