Story

Hello! I signed up for the London Marathon in 2019, three years later, following numerous lockdowns and various attempts to get in shape, I'll finally be running it! A slightly terrifying thought but equally an extremely exciting one!

I'm proud to be running for Notting Hill Genesis. An incredible charity who support the homeless and those from disadvantaged or low income backgrounds to find a place to call their home.

Every penny raised goes towards the Notting Hill Genesis Hardship Fund which helps households to find housing and afford everyday goods and services. This includes a range of affordable housing, supermarket vouchers, energy top ups and discounted or free school meals and uniforms.

Please donate what you can to what is a truly amazing cause and look out for me on the day, whether I'm running, walking or crawling to the finish line!

Notting Hill Genesis (NHG) works in the community, providing homes for lower-income households. This is our primary purpose, and everything else we do supports that aim. Money raised through fundraising contributes to our hardship fund, helping residents during times of hardship and crisis. Sadly, many of our residents struggle to meet basic food and energy costs or pay for essential household items such as beds, fridges, and cookers. This is often due to vulnerability, ill-health, family bereavement or unexpected gaps in benefit claims. Our hardship fund supports around 500 NHG residents per year during these difficult times, with grants to help ease stress and suffering.
