I am doing the Great North Run in memory of Antón Rogan White from Clydebank. Antón died at the age of 15 from cardiomyopathy, a condition which also claimed the life of my father and some of his brothers. I have been kindly given permission by Bobby & Anna White, Antóns parents, to raise money for Yorkhill Childrens Charity in memory of Antón. Antón has touched many hearts since his death and it is because of Antón that a great bond and many true friendships have developed betwen the people of Clydebank and Ballybofey (and Derry) Bobby & Anna and their family have tirelessly completed various events in Antóns name and have succeded in keeping Antóns memory alive whilst also raising a lot of money for Yorkhill Childrens hospital in Glasgow. The entire White family are an inspiration and i am proud to raise money in Antóns name for Yorkhill. The Great North Run is on 15th of September which is also the weekend of Antóns memorial dance. The day of the run will be emotional as i will be running thinking of my father, Antón and my uncles who all died as a result of cardiomyopathy. Please dig deep and donate to this great cause. Thanks
