Story

Summer 2022, will see the King George Playing Fields on Brownberrie Lane being redeveloped.  This will transform football for our club, giving us more pitches, that are also flat, well drained, maintained, so they will be playable throughout the year and be more readily available for training.  This will benefit all teams from Dribblers through to Open age, and compliment the fantastic facilities we already have at our clubhouse, Horsforth Sports Club. Plans are available on Leeds Planning Portal - this is a fundraising page.

We need to raise £30,000. This is crucial to the project and will be used alongside a Football Foundation grant secured by the club to cover the considerable costs of the work. We thank you for your support with this.

Inspired by the Mens Open Age Team who will complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks, all 100+ of our Horsforth St Margaret's Teams, from Dribblers to Open Age, will complete their own 'Peaks Challenge' on Saturday 25th June 2022.

Challenges include:

  • Open Age Men: Yorkshire Three Peaks
  • U10 Huskies & U10 Hawks: Pen-y-ghent
  • U10 Spartans: Pen-y-ghent
  • U11 Knights: Pen-y-ghent
  • U15 Kicks:  By Eck(up): Clubhouse to Eccup and back

We thank you for your participation and sponsorship - Good Luck All!
