Story
On Friday 24th April students were meant to be travelling to Nottingham University to compete in their National Championships in Netball, Basketball and Women's Rugby. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 this event has been cancelled.
To make a positive impact on to the NHS we have decided to run 272 miles in 3 days between the sporting academies. The 272 miles has been calculated from travel distances from Hartlepool Sixth Form to Nottingham University and back. This is a difficult time for everyone so trying to make a positive impact is important to us as a sixth form.
The sporting academies include, netball, basketball, women and men's rugby and football.
Any donation will be greatly appreciated and is going to a great cause.
NHS staff and volunteers are doing amazing work right now in caring for COVID-19 patients.Together, let's show our respect and gratitude as they work tirelessly in the face of the virus. It's our turn to make sure we look after them, to ensure they can keep doing their vital work.
Help us reach our target!
