Story
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition which causes sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system. It affects more than 10,800 people in the UK.
One in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes it, usually without knowing. Cystic fibrosis comes with challenges, affecting our physical health, mental wellbeing and how we choose to live our lives. Currently there is no cure for CF, however our community is uniting towards the ultimate goal of effective treatment for all. Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the charity uniting people to stop cystic fibrosis.
Petrofac HR Team will be undertaking a challenge for the month of June to raise awareness and funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, a charity close to some of our teams hearts. As some of you may know, Claire's son Alfie who is 5, has Cystic Fibrosis.
Our challenge is that we will be walking from our Aberdeen Office to our Woking Office to our Jermyn Street, London Office which is 571 miles. We plan to make this a return journey, making our total miles walked 1142 miles.
