The Royal Marsden South Downs Trek · 10 July 2021

We fund life-saving research to help cancer patients everywhere.

Story

Budgen's Babes will be taking part in the Royal Marsden South Downs Trekathon on 10th July, 2021, in order to raise money for the remarkable charity that treated Rob so brilliantly during such a traumatic time. The team, consisting of Sian, Jane, Hayley, Mike, Brad, Elektra, Naomi, Duncan, Dave, Christina and Zoe, will be trekking a whopping 26 miles to raise money for the Royal Marsden and the incredible work that they do for cancer patients. Any donations are much needed and go a long way to providing the appropriate care and equipment to those in need. This was a hike that Rob always talked about doing, so it seems fitting to trek this route to raise money in his name. He would have walked it with such positivity and appreciation, and we will be doing so with this in mind, with him close to our hearts. Starting out in Lewes, our route will follow the stunningly scenic South Downs Way. The trek will tackle some fairly stiff climbs and descents before eventually reaching the breathtaking final stretch over the white chalk cliffs of the Seven Sisters, finishing on the highest chalk sea cliff in England – Beachy Head. This is far from a walk in the park, so please donate generously!
