Story
So this weekend I ran GB Ultras Snowdon 100 and came 1st female and set a new female course record by over an hour. That's 100 miles with around 17000ft of elevation, in 36 hours 54 mins and 37 seconds.
It was a very tough race, and I only ever enter these to complete them. I had estimated this race would take me around 40 hours, mainly because I saw the course record was 38 hours, so I added a couple of hours on, knowing that it could possibly take me longer, so to finished 1st lady, and to get the course record, just feels absolutely incredible!
I’ve decided to use my achievement to raise some money for charity, so have chosen the Rainbow Trust who support families with seriously ill children. It’s an amazing cause, so if you could spare a few quid it would be very much appreciated by me and I’m sure the families that benefit from this charities support.
A little bit about what they do...
Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity supports families who have a child with a life-threatening or terminal illness. When a child has a serious illness, family life is turned upside down and time becomes more precious than ever. Rainbow Trust pairs each family with an expert Family Support Worker who enables them to make the most of time together, giving them practical and emotional support, whenever they need it, for as long as is needed. We support the whole family including parents, carers, the unwell child, brothers, sisters and grandparents.
