Story

The HR team's story began as each member of the team started at Westfield Health to where we are now. The HR Ramblers will be walking the collective miles of the amount of months each of us have worked at Westfield Health as a total - signifying the journey of our amazing team.

In February 2022, 8 of us will take on the challenge of walking, running, swimming, skipping and maybe even crawling, 430 miles together over 7 days.

THE PLAN:

Mon 7th Feb - We'll be completing our own activities to help us hit our daily 62 mile goal from walking outside to swimming.

Tues 8th Feb - We'll be doing a 45 minute spin class to hit an extra 6-10 miles each to get a daily total of 100 miles!

Weds 9th Feb - We'll be going in a team 10km walk in the peak district to increase our steps to get another 100 mile day!

Thurs 10th Feb - We'll be doing a half an hour dance party to get some more steps while dancing to 00's classics to hit an extra 3 miles, with a daily goal of 42 miles.

Fri 11th Feb - We'll be walking in our own time at home or in office to hit a 42 mile total.

Sat 12th + Sun 13th Feb - We'll be pushing to the end to complete the final miles at home - hitting 5.25 miles each per day to finish with a total 84 miles over the weekend.

Thank you for supporting us.

About the starting blocks:

A Starting Block is the person, place or moment that inspired you to become who you are today. Not every young person has the opportunity or inspiration to unlock their potential and find their Starting Block in life.

I'm taking part in the Starting Blocks Challenge to help Dame Kelly Holmes Trust change what's possible for those young people who are facing challenges in their everyday lives.

The Trust works with world-class athletes who use their experience at the highest levels of sport to mentor young people. Over the next ten years the Trust aims to support 10,000 young people through programmes designed to improve their wellbeing, help them build healthy relationships and establish the confidence, self-esteem and resilience they need to achieve in education, work and life.

Please sponsor me on my challenge and join me in supporting the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust.
