Story
Between 6th & 11th September I will be setting out to run the 236 mile length of Wales from Conwy to Cardiff Castle as a participant in the 2021 Dragon's Back Race. It's a fantastic route that takes in the high peaks of Snowdonia, the Cambrian Mountains and the Brecon Beacons. I have no idea if I will be able to complete it.
You will be able to follow my progress here (race number 209):
Montane Dragon's Back Race 2021 | Open Tracking as well as on the event's Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages, as well as reading the daily news stories on the website. If you want to send me a message or general abuse (you know who you are) you can do so via "Dragon Mail"- from the tracking page look for the envelope icon on top of screen.
I've run about 1,500 miles in training over the last year which has been challenging to fit in around work and family (don't ask my wife about it..). I'm aiming to raise £5,000 for the Royal British Legion, a great charity that has suffered a huge downturn in fundraising during the Covid pandemic. Having spent some happy years in the Army a long time ago I'm keen to support them and give something back. Please share if you can, all donations are very gratefully received,
