Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGES!

ORIGINAL MESSAGE...............

On or around 23rd July 2009, I and my companions hope to reach the summit of Mount Damavand in Iran(!). This is the highest mountain in the Middle East, standing at 5,671 metres (just a couple of hundred metres shorter than Kilimanjaro). To keep me going on less than 50% normal oxygen levels, I really need to feel the pressure of all those generous donations to my chosen charity.

HOWEVER......................

FOR OBVIOUS REASONS, VISITS TO IRAN AT THE MOMENT ARE NOT DEEMED TO BE VERY WISE AND THEREFORE THE ATTEMPT ON DAMAVAND HAS BEEN ABANDONED. WE HAVE MANAGED TO SUBSTITUTE AN ATTEMPT TO CLIMB THE LESS MIGHTY (4167 METRES) JEBEL TOUBKAL IN MOROCCO (2nd TO 9th AUGUST) AND IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU COULD SWITCH YOUR SPONSORSHIP TO THIS VENTURE.

UPDATE 13/08/09 - JEBEL TOUBKAL SUCCESSFULLY SUMMITED ON THURSDAY 06/08/09 AT 09.30 HRS. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTINUE DONATING.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: St Peter and St James Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
