Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. On Sunday 10th August I am taking part in the Prudential Ride London-Surrey cycling event. This will be quite a challenge for me as it's the furthest I have ridden in one day, and will include several of the major hill climbs in Surrey including Leith Hill and Box Hill. The charity I am supporting is the CTC's Space for Cycling campaign which is lobbying all of the main political parties ahead of the General Election to include in their manifesto a commitment to high standards of cycle-friendly planning and design, and the funding needed to develop this. The campaign is also raising money for training sessions for cyclists across the country, and to help train volunteers. The national Space for Cycling campaign aims to create the conditions where anyone can cycle safely. Cycle-friendly streets are the life-blood of safe, pleasant and healthy communities. They are good for everyone's quality of life, whether they choose to cycle or not.
