12 HOUR GAMING BIRTHDAY STREAM FOR SHEFFIELD CHILDRENS HOSPITAL - 15th MAY 2021

Hi there,

My name is Pip Mason aka HousebrokenGeek, comedian type, 2nd rate director, does funny things on the internets occasionally. Like many performing people I have taken to streaming regularly on Twitch every week and I really enjoy it, got some nice regulars in chat and I'm in a couple of really nice gaming communities. Well next month it's my birthday and I wanted to do something nice and take advantage of this new platform I've found myself getting since September. So here's my idea; I'm going to livestream the 1999 PC strategy game Dungeon Keeper 2.

So why Dungeon Keeper 2? It's my favourite game of all time, easy. I played this a lot growing up and I mean A LOT. Seriously. I played it that much one time I had to rebuy the CD as it had warped from use. On my Twitch channel I had a segment called "Back in T'Day' where I played some of my favourite games growing up live on stream, however with the type of game Dungeon Keeper 2 is it doesn't really work in an episodic format. It's too long. So we're just going to sit here and play it all day, exactly like I used to, all in the name of a good cause.

And why Sheffield Children's Hospital? That one is easy;  due to a physical condition I spent quite a bit of my early years having to go to Sheffield Children's Hospital for regular treatments and exams until I was eventually discharged when I got older. It's always been an institution close to my heart and I've always wanted to show my support whenever I can. This is just another way to do that.

So I hope you'll join me SATURDAY 15TH MAY, wish me a happy birthday, and enjoy my ongoing suffering as I play a really old videogame live on the internet. Should be fun!
