Story
Actually I'll be bearing both soles of my feet, and walking approx. 15 feet across soft, glowing, smouldering hot coals.
It takes a strong heart and mind to complete this challenge..... It also sounds like a lot of fun! So that's why I'm taking part.
The walking over hot coals sounds tough but it’s perfectly safe. Some people say that they feel the heat through their soles, others say it’s freezing cold - I'm going to have a go myself and see what I can feel.
I'm taking part in this challenge because I believe in the amazing work that The Body Shop Foundation, and have seen the many successes that they have had in the last 25 years.
So please - dig deep and donate not just to see me walk on fire, get crispy and cry, but to donate to a charity that is working for social and environmental change.
Thanks for your time,
Rob x
About The Body Shop Foundation
The Body Shop Foundation is a charitable company, limited by guarantee, who operate closely with The Body Shop International. We give money to innovative, global projects working for social and environmental change. Since we began in 1989, we’ve funded thousands of projects across the world, donating just over £21 million.
The Body Shop Foundation is funded through the sale of a charity product – currently the Soft Hands Kind Heart hand cream – sold globally in the stores of The Body Shop® and through various fundraising activities. This allows us to run three different grants programmes – addressing issues about animal protection, human rights and environmental protection around the world.
Our fundraising activities, through stock donated to us by The Body Shop International and their suppliers and our global challenges, allow us to increase our funds to help further our main aims and objectives.
