Story
St. Cuthbert's Centre is a 30-year-old charity that was joined by Refettorio Felix in 2017 through a collaboration with Chef Massimo Bottura’s non-profit organisation Food for Soul, creating the current Refettorio Felix at St. Cuthbert’s Centre.
In normal circumstances they serve approximatly 80 people. Guests can expect a 3 course meal in the centre and access to showers, mental health counsellor and numerous activities and clubs. The meal is all made from surplus and they are served waitress style.
Because of the Covid-19 pandamic they have had to completely change the way they work. Now, they are serving over 100 guests in a take-away service, cooking 330 meals a day for delivery to the elderly, people suffering from mental health issues and NHS workers and also doing 50 meals a day for refugees/ asylum seekers and 50 meals a day for children of key workers who are in school.
Now is our chance to help as well and support this amazing initiciative!
