Story
Mothers' Union is an international Christian Mission Charity which seeks to support families, working with people of all faiths and none in 84 countries around the world.
2021 marks the 145th Anniversary of MU and as we emerge from the restrictions of the past 15 months, we are encouraged to be "on the move" and raise funds to help families around the world, especially women and girls.
The economic fallout and the restrictions of people behind closed doors has taken its toll particularly in the rise of domestic abuse both here at home and overseas.
We are raising funds to help build brighter futures for families. For example **Jane is a single mother in Tanzania who joined the Mothers' Union where members have provided her with safe space and support. Jane joined the MU Union Savings and Credit Group and was able to take out a small loan to start a catering business.
She continues to support others to teach the importance of saving and investing in sustainable businesses to support their families.
Mothers' Union Members in Horley will be undertaking to walk 5 km during August, either one long walk or four shorter ones to raise awareness of the charity and also to raise vital funds needed for the "Summer of Hope" Appeal.
Please do support us along the way. Thank you.
