We are very excited to announce that on the 28 June 2014, the Horizon Platforms Team will be taking part in a very special event in order to raise money for our nominated charity – The Christie Charity.

I’m sure some of you will have been touched by The Christie Hospital at some point in your life, as have some of our own staff and customers.  That is why we have chosen to support this fantastic cause that provides specialist cancer care and support to thousands of people across the North West and beyond.

Are you ready to read about what we are going to do….?

The challenge is to cycle the 86 mile journey from our Warrington depot to our Wakefield depot over the Trans Pennine Trail.  Some parts of the journey will be over rough and hilly terrain and it will prove to be a difficult and exhausting ride, especially for us cycling novices (which is most of us!)  We estimate that the ride will take us around 12 hours, with the obligatory stop off for pub lunch, of course!

We are asking all of our friends, customers and suppliers to support us with our challenge to make it really worth-while.  We have a Just Giving page that you can visit if you would like to donate – even if it is just £1.
