Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In Malawi, December - March is known as the hungry season.  Prices of maize are high and often people simply cannot afford to buy it.  This year we have had a lot of rain which has been unusual, this has resulted in people not being able to find work which has impacted the situation even more.

We have daily visits from people who are hungry they are looking for food assistance or work.  One lady came yesterday, she had tears in her eyes (we rarely see this), her husband left her some time ago and she is in a helpless situation, she has 2 children.  She told us they had not eaten anything for 3 days.  We could not turn her away without helping her.

Since posting this story on facebook, I have had several requests from people asking how they can help and where can they donate, so I have set up this page, every donation received will be used to provide food for those in need.
