1. Hello everyone,

My name is Harry, I'm 29 years old and work as a Web Developer in Central London.

Nine years ago, I was unfortunately the passenger in the front seat of a car accident. The driver had recently passed his driver's test and within a month he'd already achieved to flip his entire car upside down mid air, as if it were something out of the movies. Fortunately he was O.K, but I was not so much.

This accident resulted in me dealing with 4 knee surgeries over the course of 8 years. Two in Spain and two in London. I also had other surgeries on my body, one of such I almost lost two of my fingers.

The recovery has been long and I'm currently still going to physio but now that I'm on my two feet, I feel that the time has come to put all these years of hopping around on crutches to good use. I realize how lucky I am to be able to walk again!

This distant run is on crutches! ( in honor of those that are disabled ) from London to Brighton. I wish to raise money for anyone suffering any form of disability, children and adults.

The money I'm raising is for two charities, Scope & Newlife.

Scope is a fantastic charity that I wish to raise money for as they have years of experience making disabilities feel less daunting thanks to their constant search and fight to improve the lives of many. Every year Scope has provided information and support to more than a quarter of a million disabled people and their families and influenced social change on the issues that face disabled people.

I wish to thank you all in advance for supporting either of the charities I'm running for. These donations will make the lives of others so much better. I shall keep an update of my progress here on justgiving.com or on facebook.com/hopathlonfundraising.

Me Llamo Harry, tengo 29 años y trabajó como programador en Londres.

Hace 9 años, desafortunadamente yo era el pasajero de un accidente de coche.

El conductor en solo un mes de aprobar su prueba de conducir consiguió volcar el coche en el aire como si fuera algo que sale en las películas. El conductor tuvo suerte de no tener ninguna lesión, pero eso no fue el caso para mi.

Como resultado del accidente tuve que tener 4 operaciones a lo largo de 8 años.

Dos en España y dos en Londres. También tuve otras operaciones, tales como la reparaciones de mis dedos en la mano izquierda y también el codo.

La recuperación a sido muy largo y aun sigo hasta hoy yendo a fisioterapia pero ahora como ya puedo andar siento que ya ha llegado la hora de poner todos esos años yendo en muletas a buen uso. Me doy cuenta de la suerte que tengo de poner andar normal otra vez!

Esta Carrera a distancia lo hago en muletas! En honor de los discapacitados, de Londres a Brighton.

Espero recaudar dinero para todos que sufren cualquier tipo de discapacidad, niños y adultos.

El dinero que recaudo es para Scope y Newlife.

Scope es una caridad fantástica que lleva años de experiencia en hacer las incapacidades de muchos sentir menos desalentador gracias a su constante búsqueda y lucha para mejorar las vidas de muchos.
