St Richard's Hospice - Midnight Walk · 18 July 2009 ·

We provide hospice care in Worcestershire to give people the best quality of life

Story

The idea to do the walk came from Rochelle, after she took a patient to X-ray and spotted a poster advertising it. She thought it would be fun, so covertly managed to sneak the patients notes on top of the poster and abduct it from X-ray. She then put it straight up on the A+E coffee room wall where many of us read it and agreed. We were particularly attracted by the the rules which clearly state that running is banned, you must only walk. We were completely sold when we discovered that you got either a bacon or sausage sandwich at the end.

The walk takes place at night, and starts at midnight on the night of Saturday 18th July. We will be walking from County Hall in a massive 10 mile circle around Worcester, finishing back at County Hall (that must be where we get our sausage/bacon sandwiches).

We will be walking in fancy dress, which consists of black angel wings, and neon tutu's (I've always wanted to wear a tutu).

The walk has been organised by St. Richard's Hopsice to raise funds. We would therefore be very grateful for any sponsorship you would like to give to encourage us to walk even faster (but not run) towards that sausage/bacon sandwich.

Thank you,
