Story
Those of us fortunate to share our lives with Andy know he was unmatched in his generosity and selflessness. Among other causes, Andy was extremely passionate about mental health and eating disorders, two topics with very personal meaning for him. His own journey of health and healing eventually led him to find opportunities to support, provide assistance, and be an example to others. He viewed this service with a sense of duty, and his compassion for others drove him.
Through eating disorder awareness Andy came to understand his own struggles, accept the love of others, and discover the self-love that he needed to move his life in the direction that he wanted. After learning to manage his own eating disorder, Andy dedicated a great deal of himself to helping others find similar awareness and support.
Andy passed away suddenly, shockingly on March 30th, 2022. He was 38 years old. He felt no pain and experienced no fear. He left this world feeling good about himself and the path he was on. Through his amazing spirit of kindness and generosity, Andy left us all with an inspiring example to which we can aspire. More than that, he left much work to be done to help continue the love and support that he shared with so many.
We continue to support the work of the National Eating Disorders Association in his name, as one way to help carry on Andy's inspiring legacy of love and compassion.
