Story

Staff at Holy Family are taking part in the Liverpool Rock 'n' Roll 10K, half marathon and full marathon.

We’re raising money for Ward 3B because it saves children’s lives.

The words ‘cancer’ and ‘oncology’ can seem scary enough, but when you hear them about your child, they’re devastating. You suddenly enter into an unknown world of chemotherapy drugs and treatment regimes, all the time wishing that this wasn’t happening.

But happen it does and fortunately that’s where Alder Hey’s Oncology/Haematology Ward 3B comes in. All the staff there are truly amazing, caring for and supporting the children and their families throughout their difficult and unpredictable journeys.

That’s why staff from Holy Family Catholic High School are running for Ward 3B: to raise as much money as possible to help this ward continue to do its life-saving, soul-saving work.
