Many charities have sadly been impacted by the current pandemic and our churches have been affected too. Here at The Holy Family & All Saints, Witham, we are privileged to worship in a Grade II listed building which is a joy and also a challenge. 

Because of the social distancing needed, for the foreseeable future, our Fundraising Team has taken the decision to cancel several of our fundraising events that are essential to support our parish finances which includes our biggest fundraiser the Christmas Fair; which raises approximately £5,000 per annum towards the upkeep and maintenance of our Churches. 

A Just Giving page has been set up to enable anyone, including those who would have attended and supported the Christmas Fair, to make a donation if they wish.

Our fundraising activity has become even more important as the church heating system has been failing with our boiler showing it's age and in need of being replaced - at one point the boiler was thought to be broken beyond any possible repair.

Although we have 'resurrected' our boiler we do know that it will need replacing and hopefully in 2021.  The cost is likely to be  £20,000 but we will need to keep our wonderful senior parishioners safe and warm as well as look after our Churches so that services, weddings, funerals and baptisms can continue for years to come.
