Story
In the UK, one man dies from prostate cancer every 45 minutes.
It was a disease my family knew little about until 2016 when my dad was diagnosed. Sadly, just one month later my uncle (dad's twin brother) was also diagnosed with the same cancer.
As a family we were devastated by the news, but also knew very little about this cancer considering 1 in 8 men in the UK will get prostate cancer. Thankfully awareness is improving and I now want to do my part to raise funds and support this excellent cause.
We were lucky. Both dad and my uncle received excellent treatment; after surgery and a challenging recovery period they both received the all clear and continue to have regular check ups.
On Sunday 24th March 2019, I will be taking on the massive challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon. This is the first event like this I have ever done and finding the time to train with a newborn has been somewhat challenging but I really appreciate anything you can spare - thank you!
