Story
*Along with most peoples plans over the past years covid made my Everest challenge pretty impossible but we’re finally back on track and all set to go on the 28th of August 2022!!*
Please read on to find out a little more about my fundraising trek in aid of Marie Curie 🌼
I have decided to take on a new challenge raising money for Marie Curie and joining fellow students of Swansea University to trek to Everest base camp through the breathtaking Himalayan peaks 🏔
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me and is also an amazing chance for me to raise money for the amazing charity, Marie Curie. The trek will last for 15 days in total reaching altitude of 5,545m above sea level and trekking between 7-8 hours each day, this will be a huge challenge for me so I'll be spending many hours working on my stamina and fitness in preparation.
Marie Curie offer expert care to patients and families living with terminal illnesses in the UK. I'm sure everyone can understand how important these types of services are to families and those experiencing such terrible illnesses. In recent times, Marie Curie have been doing incredible work to provide amazing care whilst the COVID 19 pandemic continues to put a strain on many resources especially affecting charities who rely on donations. I am so proud to be raising money for such an incredible charity.
My goal is to raise £3,190 over the months leading up to my trip, of course raising more would be even better! I will be very grateful for any donations small or large and if you're unable to make a donation I would greatly appreciate you sharing my page wherever you can! 💛
