Spare a thought (and hopefully some cash) for me on Boxing Day when I’ll be braving the icy North Sea - I must be mad!!

I have thought about doing the Boxing Day dip for years and what better time to do it than at the end of what has been an awesome 40th birthday year! 

Instant Neighbour are a charity very close to my heart after they helped me with furniture & carpets in my first flat when I had Austin as a young, single mum.

These days, sadly, it is their food bank service that is now a vital & underfunded service in Aberdeen. 

Instant Neighbour - “In 2012, we provided 1,346 food parcels to 485 different clients. In 2013, this rose to 3,051 parcels going to 970 different clients. In 2014, this rose to 3,640 parcels going to 1,383 clients. In 2015 we provided 3,877 food parcels to 1,237 different clients. We estimate that we will give out approximately 4,000 parcels over the course of 2016, up until October 2016 we have given out 3,501 food parcels..”
