Story
My sister passed away in March this year due to a traumatic brain injury after being involved in a road traffic accident whilst attending The University of Leeds. We were all left devastated and the house a lot quieter without her Dr. Martens being thrown against the stairs and her non stop talking. Alice was loud, infuriating, brilliant, passionate and beautiful. She was my best friend.
Therefore, this year my mum, Lucy and I have entered the Robin Hood half Marathon to raise money for Headway Nottingham in memory of Alice.
Headway Nottingham is an amazing charity and it is there to provide long term health and social rehabilitation for those who have been affected by brain injury. It also offers help & advice, respite and support to the families of the person affected.
My mum has completed the half marathon before, but lucy and I are someone who would rather wait for the next bus than run for one or whose motto is #Runforwine it is going to be a challenge, but I am going to try my best!
It would be fantastic to be able to raise money for Headway so any donations would be amazing.
