My reasons for why I have chosen the Stroke Association as my Charity:

My Grandad who was my rock in life unfortunately had a major stroke. For 2 years we experienced the consequences of this stroke and the gradual downhill process. However, we stayed strong together and attempted to retrain his brain.

At the time it was so frustrating for my Grandad and the family. I wish I could have helped him more. It was only until it was too late that I started to learn about the Stroke Association. I certainly learnt a lot from the process. A stroke can affect you in so many ways depending on what side of the brain has been affected and a stroke can occur at any age. It is so interesting how the mind works and how delicate the brain is but how quickly it can be affected.

I know my Grandad would ask for anyone experiencing the same as he did to have full support. That is why I believe Stroke Association is a fantastic charity for me.

Thank you to everyone for your support. It is truly appreciated.
