Story
As some of you may know, my father Tom Porter passed away at 750pm on Saturday April 3rd 2010 after a short illness. He was 72. He was a man that embraced life to the full and had no regrets at the end. He brought colour to so many people's lives with his enthusiasm, intelligence, focus and charm.
My marathon run will now be in his memory as well as my grandmothers.
Living with a family member cancer sufferer can make you feel powerless, terrified and confused. The work that Macmillan does in supporting the cancer patient and their family through the trauma of cancer care is invaluable - both my father and grandmother were supported by Macmillan.
So please, dig deep into your pockets (it is for an excellent cause) and come along to support on the day if you are free. Many thanks to all of you that have sponsored me so generously so far also.
Holly
