Algernon Trust Animal sanctuary helps animals that have been abandoned and they operate a strict no kill policy. Jane Shepherd set up the Rescue in 1991 and continues to help many animals that would have otherwise had little hope of survival. The Trust is run solely by volunteers and relies on donations and fund raising to be able to continue the good work.

Therefore, I am taking part in a sponsored fire walk at the Plough Inn in Normanton on Soar on 4th May...wish me luck!
