Story
Hi! I’m Holly and I’m taking part in Challenge 33 this year, an annual fundraising event for Centre 33. Centre 33 is a Cambridgeshire-based young people’s charity that has helped so many young people, including me - from YC groups and trips to 1:1 MH support, I am so privileged to have had so much support over 6 years. Although I am at university (in the OTHER PLACE), I now volunteer, helping at online (and in person when I can!) groups and trips for Young Carers.
I can say from firsthand experience as someone who has been lucky enough to receive support from Centre 33, and as a volunteer, that the work Centre 33 do is genuinely incredible and life changing, and I would like to fundraise to help Centre 33 support even more young people.
For my Challenge 33, I am going to visit 33 Oxford colleges (betraying my roots, I know) in 3 hours, 33 minutes, aiming to get a photo inside each one with a Porter or student.
Thank you so much for any donations, they are v appreciated!! :))
Each year Centre 33 work directly with over 2,500 young people and reach many more. Centre 33 work with young people who are dealing with mental health difficulties, facing problems at home or in their relationships, managing complex caring needs, are homeless, struggling to find work or seeking advice and support.Young people can talk to Centre 33 about anything - mental health, housing, homelessness, employment, education, finances, sexual health, caring responsibilities and much more. They may have complex needs and may not know what they need to talk to us about, whatever it is we will help them to work it out and then do all we can to support them holistically with their practical issues and emotional needs. The need for services from young people is still growing and this demand often exceed capacity. Centre 33 know that the right help at the right time can prevent problems escalating. Please help support Centre 33 to be here for young people.
