The Liverpool Head and Neck Centre (LHNC) combines internationally recognised clinical and research strengths to deliver research-led improvements in the quality and safety of patients
I will be completing in a British title Thai boxing fight on the 27th of my and have decided to donate all my ticket commission and fight purse to the Liverpool head and neck centre .
As most of my close friends and family know my mum has been through a tough battle with a very rare type of cancer, resulting in mum losing her eye including the eye lid muscle and tissue surrounding the eye and part of her skull. Mum has undergone countless procedures and complications to reconstruct her face and build her a prosthetic eye ,alongside an intense course of radiotherapy five days a week for six weeks that helped clear the cancer, leaving her with osteoradionecrosis (killing the healthy bone around her eye ) Next month mum will be heading back to Aintree hospital for her 15th procedure ,after eight years of being treated by head and neck MUF ( maxillofacial clinic ) in aintree hospital to help solve these complications.
As a huge thank you to the doctors and specialists that helped save my mums life and continue to take care of her I’ve decided that all my ticket commission and purse from the fight will be donated to the head and neck clinic in aintree hospital . I will also be setting up a just giving page as I know not everyone will be able to make it to the show and any donations are highly appreciated.
