We build electric eco-fences in Africa to protect Africa's threatened ecosystems

Story

Rhino Ark raises money for the building of electric eco-fences around mountain ecosystems in Kenya, namely Aberdare National Park, Mt. Kenya and Mau Eburu . This provides an "ark" for wildlife such as rhino, leopard, elephant and mountain bongo but also safeguards vital upland watertable habitats for Kenya.

2024 will be the 25th. Hog Charge and will be held on the last weekend of January 2024.

The Hog Charge has raised over 65 million Kenya Shillings for Rhino Ark. It is a moutain bike event where teams of 4 compete on the ranch at Northlands over a challenging course on dirt tracks and through grassland, in the dust and mud.

The Hog Charge is aimed at school children and its aims are to teach them to act as a Team, raise, learn about the conservation charity they are raising the money for and explain the cause to their sponsors, and finally, to challenge themselves on the event.

The event is sponsored by BROOKSIDE DAIRIES, PEPONI SCHOOL, NORTHLANDS and EAST AFRICAN CHAINS.
