Story
Thank you so much for making the work of City Hospice possible.Your support will help us continue to provide specialist palliative care and support to patients and their families living with cancer and other life limiting conditions in Cardiff.
Those who know me know that I’m not usually one for
exercise, and I love biscuits and cake - gaining a few extra pounds in the
first (and 2nd) lock downs.
But, things are very different in lockdown#3!
I have decided to get fitter and raise a few pounds
for charity at the same time, and I have joined the City Hospice 100 Heroes
campaign. For this challenge, participants are taking on their own challenges
to try to raise at least £150 – roughly the cost of one day of nursing at the hospice – each.
I will be completing the couch to 5k challenge,
which I have already started and am in week 3 having completed 2.52k. Not that it is all running at the moment, but it is a start!
The City Hospice is also a charity very close to my
heart as they provided excellent palliative care for both my Mum and Dad in their last few months. They also provided bereavement counselling for the family too! They really are a fantastic charity and worthy of our support.
I hope you will help me raise as much money as you
can and enjoy watching my journey completing the couch-5k!
