Story
The Heavy Metal Truants are cycling the 161 miles from London to Donington to raise much needed funds for Children’s Charities, with all proceeds being split equally between Nordoff Robbins, Teenage Cancer Trust and Childline.
Founders Iron Maiden Manager Rod Smallwood and Metal Hammer Editor Alex Milas will be joined by Metal fans, band members, media, managers, agents, record labels and music industry heavyweights united by a love of heavy metal and a desire to raise money for kids who need some help. The gruelling 3 day ride begins at Alexandra Palace on June 12 and arrives lunchtime on June 14 for the start of the magnificent Metal Weekend that is Download Festival. We do hope that you will support us generously. For more information on the Charities and the Ride go to www.heavymetaltruants.com.
