Story

In January 2020, four Royal Navy Submariners became the first ever Royal Navy team to row any ocean. The team spent 37 days, 6 hours and 40 minutes rowing 3,000 miles across the North Atlantic Ocean. The first ocean crossing was the start of a legacy that will see Submariners champion resilience through adversity, support charities and inspire a generation. We are now rowing the Atlantic Ocean every year with an aim to fund raise over 1 Million Pounds to provide Mental Health and well-being support to Royal Navy families and veterans.

This challenge will see our crew of four row for 2 hours on, 2 hours off for 35 to 40 days battling everything the Atlantic Ocean has to offer.

About the charity

The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity is the principle charity of the Royal Navy. Beneficiaries lie at the heart of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity's purpose, it is our duty to remain focused on their needs. Since 2007, we have funded projects and facilities that boost morale for those who serve today. We also distribute millions of pounds annually to military charities which care for the children, families and veterans of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines.
