Around 110 people are diagnosed with bowel cancer every 15 minutes.
It is the second biggest cancer killer in the UK - every half an hour someone dies from the disease.

Some of the hotel team have personal experience of what bowel cancer can do and so for their chosen 'charity of the year' they have selected the Health Tree Foundation...

The Health Tree Foundation together with the colorectal teams at Grimsby and Scunthorpe hospitals are aiming to raise £200,000 for their bowel cancer patients and we want to help them reach this target.  The Rear into Gear appeal aims to raise money for the provision of two new state-of-the-art laparoscopic theatre stacks.  Hundreds of bowel cancer patients in the area are likely to benefit from this new equipment.

Throughout 2018 the team will be doing a variety of fundraising events including quitting smoking, entering into the Tough Mudder race, leg waxing, and more still to be announced.
