Dear Family, Friends and Colleagues

A big thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have signed up to participate in the China Hiking Challenge 2011. These funds are raised for Macmillan Cancer Support. The 10 day hike takes place in September this year and will take me along ancient and remote sections of The Great Wall. It will be physically challenging especially when I encounter the 300 steps of 'Heaven's Ladder' and mentally challenging as I will have to rough it most of the way.

 

I will be raising money for MacMillan over the next 4 months.

Along the way I will be holding small events to help raise funds, ranging from a sponsored silence, to the final event of a hike along the Great Wall of China.

The Events:

First off will be a sponsored silence. I think this will be great especially as 70% of my work, I need to interact with colleagues and as I'm sure friends, family and colleagues know I generally can't go two minutes without making a sound! I shall aim to remain silent for 48 hours.

I will be adding more events here soon, so watch this space!
