The most affected have been the regions of Balochistan, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Punjab where almost 700,000 homes, nearly 800,000 livestock 3,000 km of roadway and close to 150 bridges have been damaged or destroyed. Now, internet outages have been reported making travel and communication nearly impossible for those displaced and in need of assistance.
The devastation is beyond catastrophic, with tens of millions of vulnerable people homeless, uprooted from their communities, and facing a forecast of more rain and flooding as dams and waterways rapidly fill.
