Captain Tom 100 · 6 April 2021 to 6 May 2021 ·

Campaign by Marie Curie (RCN 207994 (England & Wales) and SC038731 (Scotland))
During the pandemic Captain Tom stepped up to support the NHS Covid-19 by taking on his famous walk and inspiring millions to donate. We are offering the chance to raise funds in the spirit of Captain Tom for the charity of your choice.

Story

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a catastrophic effect on charities, with the cancellation of thousands of events and the loss of billions in income. At a time when vulnerable members of society need them most, charities have had to cut services, furlough staff and some have even shut down. Many of our pupils were inspired by Captain Tom's courage and determination in his famous walk to support the NHS Covid-19 appeal. We will be celebrating the extraordinary spirit of Captain Tom raising money for charities supported by the his Foundation.

We have been set our own 100 challenge! Each class is aiming to collectively run 100 laps around the school playing field on Friday 30th April.
