Hills for Mills' is a group of enthusiastic cyclists from the Hemel Hempstead area who are cycling in memory of our friend Debbie Mills (who didn't like hills!) On the 1st of July we are either cycling 80 or 50 or 20 miles, which is the furthest that most of us have ever ridden. In 2016, Debbie started riding with Breeze which is a British Cycling group established to encourage women to enjoy cycling in a non-competitive environment. Debbie's cycling improved immensely and within a year she completed a 100k ride for charity and was an inspirational rider in her local group, nurturing others to join her in her new found hobby that had become a key part of life.In March this year, Debbie was hit by car whilst cycling to meet friends for a group ride. The air ambulance was called out, and Debbie was taken to The Royal London Hospital. Sadly her injuries were very serious and Debbie passed away the following day. We would like your sponsorship to raise £2,500 which is the average cost for each mission for the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance . Although Debbie's life could not be saved, we hope that other lives will be saved in the future by your generosity in sponsoring us.
Heartfelt thanks from team 'Hills for Mills'.
