As you know, the humanitarian situation is increasingly dire and desperate. Millions of people have no safe place to call home. More than 2.5 million have already left Ukraine, while countless more are still trapped underground, taking cover from the shelling, and desperate for a safe escape. Hundreds of thousands of people still have no food, no water, no medical care, and no heat or electricity. Your donation could help someone affected get food, water, first aid, medicines, warm clothes, shelter. 

To help this worthy cause the Hillhead Tennis Club is holding a Social Night For Ukraine on Saturday, April 16 - and you really don't want to miss it.

There will be a buffet, an amazing raffle with top prizes, a superb slide show featuring some familiar Hillhead faces and music from DJ Andy "Decks" McCullough.

We are also holding an auction for a dream prize - to be revealed on the night - which is just the ticket for all tennis lovers.

Our hard-working social subcommittee have already secured some terrific prizes for the raffle, including one-to-one coaching lessons, a massage treatment at the Balance Clinic, a signed Glasgow Warriors top, bottles of spirits and wine, but members can still donate any items, bottles or home-baking on the night.

Remember to bring along plenty of cash to buy all your raffle tickets. All monies raised from the event will go towards helping the people of Ukraine through the Red Cross (Ukraine Red Cross Appeal).  

As part of the theme, the Bobby Low Room will be decked out in blue and yellow and there will be Ukrainian flag face painting for the kids. There will also be an optional blue and yellow dress code for the evening. 

Tickets for our Social Night For Ukraine, which runs from 6pm until midnight, are subsidised by the club and cost £5 per person. All club members, their families and friends are encouraged to come along. Children will be welcome until 10pm.

£210 could provide a fully equipped first aid kit, including supplies, to a first aider treating those wounded
