Marie Curie provides care and support for people living with any terminal illness across the UK. Our nurses work night and day in peoples homes and our hospices offer specialist care. We also support people emotionally, provide practical information, and match them with trained volunteers. 

My story started just over 10 years ago, when Marie Curie helped my dad in his final days.  I decided to do one of Marie Curie's treks which was to the Grand Canyon. During the time of signing up and actually doing the trek, I also received their help as my husband Neil lost his fight for life.

Since then I have done 4 treks, numerous half marathons, marathons, cake sales and have managed to raise around £30,000.

This year its my 60th year and I will be running, cake making, boot saleing, raffling and any other activity to raise funds.

My ultimate goal is to raise enough to pay for a day at the hospice for Neils 60th
