Story
On the 21st of June 2021 the nation looks forward to a day of celebration as we hope and pray most lockdown rules and regulations will finally be lifted but for the Littlejohn family this period will forever be remembered for other reasons, as this weekend in 2020 was the weekend we lost our beautiful Jessie.
Jessie was an incredibly funny, caring & loving person. Someone that would always try to put others first and try to always make others happy. Jessie was a beautiful soul inside and out that could express her beauty into amazing pieces of art. She was incredibly loved, she returned that love exponentially and will be missed every single day.
Jessie had struggled with an eating disorder for many years and this was what finally overcame her. This is why on the 30th of July, 5 brothers in arms (Christopher Littlejohn, Stephen Littlejohn, Morgan Littlejohn, Aaron Martin and Stephen Martin) will attempt to climb 24 peaks in 48 hours to raise money for BEAT (BeatEatingDisorders). In the hope that other families may be able to get support early enough and avoid the devastation we have.
The 24 peaks we will be attempting are the major peaks of the Lake District. On day 1 the Helvellyn Range (including Helvellyn itself) and on day 2 the Scafell Range (including Scafell Pike itself). We’ll walk approximately 29.5 miles with 11,640ft of ascent (47.5km and ~3,548m of ascent) in just two days. As I write this my legs and feet are already starting to ache, so please give generously. ;)
