Story

High Sheriff of Northamptonshire, Amanda Lowther and her husband
Hugh, are to spend the last few days of her shrieval year on a three-day trek.  The route will follow the Jurassic Way, which
runs the length of the county from Banbury to Stanford in Lincolnshire.  As time is tight, we will walk from
Sibbertoft, via Braybrooke and Cottingham, passing through the beautiful Welland Valley and finishing up in Gretton – a distance of about 30 miles.  The walk is to raise funds and awareness of
the High Sheriff’s Bursary Fund which is run by the Northamptonshire Community Foundation.

We will set off on Tuesday 29th March and plan to reach
Gretton on Thursday 31st March.

All donations will be so gratefully received!

The Northamptonshire High Sheriff Bursary Fund is a
bursary scheme to make individual awards for the purpose of increasing employability for Care Leavers graduating from the University of Northampton, to have a meaningful impact on an individual’s future education, employment, aspirations and quality of life. The bursary aims to help disadvantaged students with costs such as attending their Graduation Ceremony, purchasing appropriate
clothes suitable for the work place and interviews, and being able to travel to prospective employers to help ease the transition from education into their chosen careers

We have set up a Just Giving page for donations.
