We support children's education in Nigeria to improve their life chances

Story

Please help me to raise £45,000 for my UK registered charity, Helping Hands for Education, to complete the second stage of building a public library and educational resource centre in my hometown of Ogbomosho, south-western Nigeria.

The foundations are already in place but we need to start building to create a home for the 50,000 books we have already shipped! We are looking to create a library space, reading room and I.T. room as soon as possible to provide local schoolchildren with an invaluable, quiet place to study, give the local community access to a lending and reference library, and provide a resource hub from which local schools can borrow sets of textbooks and science equipment to enhance their educational provision.

Whatever you can afford to give, whether large or small, will help to transform the lives of children both now and for years to come.

On behalf of Helping Hands for Education and the children of Ogbomosho, thank you!

About the charity

Helping Hands for Education provides schools in Ogbomosho, western Nigeria, with learning resources to help children flourish. Children are eager to learn, but schools are desperately under-equipped, so we provide them with textbooks, library books, IT and science equipment and more.
